Cookies, Cocoa, and Santa

Yummy! we tried new delicious recipes for cookies and frosting. Jason must have eaten 10!!! Just what a three year old dreams of--staying up late to make and eat cookies!

Addie didn't get to enjoy the cookie fun for long. While Jason cut out cookies (Christmas trees, gingerbread men, and candy canes), Addie snuggle with Daddy...then she went to bed.
Aunt Stacey came over for dinner, and turned out to be the "master cookie decorator." There's me in the background making cocoa :) Jason had been asking to have some for days, but he only wanted water with his cookies after all.

Before naps, I set out all the cookie making supplies--cutters, sprinkles, and...food coloring. After naps, Jason decided that he needed to get everything ready for our cookie making, so he pulled a chair over to the kitchen counter and began playing with the supplies. Addie wants to do EVERYTHING big brother does, so she climbed up on the chair with him. Can you guess what Addie got into?

Saturday night we went to the mall since Daddy didn't have any "demanding" homework to get done. First we bought Jase some much needed new shoes. Went to dinner at Red Robin--Jase's favorite because he loves to go there with Gammie and Boppa. Then we headed up to visit Santa.
After last year's screaming escapade in Vegas--I had confidence that Jason was ready to talk with Santa this year. He asked for a tape measure and a flashlight. So cute!
Addie on the other hand, I thought would be just old enough to be terrified of him. To my surprise she sat on Santa's lap as comfortable as could be. Maybe he reminded her of Boppa--though he looks nothing like Boppa :)
This was the most fun outing we've had in forever--much better than running errands. The kids were SOOOO good! They ate good dinners, didn't whine, and just had a ball. It was wonderful!

I am so glad you got in touch with me! Your kiddies are so cute! Though I just got a quick glimpse, your life looks so blessed and so fun. You look so beautiful on your wedding day and even in the kitchen with your family.
Love, Charmela
