I know, I know--no post for a month and here I am doing two in one day. But it's been one of those days that hopefully others will laugh at--for me, I'm just plain exhausted.
Task number 1: this morning I decided to get an early start on making yogurt for the kids--we were almost out. I set the milk on the stove to scald and figured I would check on it in 5 minutes. One hour later, yes ONE HOUR later, I go into the kitchen to find the pot of water half empty. Condensation streaming down the walls, dripping off the ceiling onto the counter and floors and stove, and of course completely coating the windows. What a fun surprise for me--I had completely forgotten about my yogurt plan.
Task number 2: after I mopped up all the drips and puddles, I began pulling out paint stuff to work on some home improvement projects. I wanted to start on the linen closet and paint a bathroom door. I gathered everything I needed, took the door knob off the bathroom (leaving the part that inserts into the door jamb in place), and went back to the laundry room to find our tiny paint roller. Couldn't find the paint roller. Called Jason at work to ask if he remembered whether we had thrown it away. He didn't know. I head back down the hall to find Jason Asher locked in the bathroom--peaking at me through the door knob hole. I played around with the mechanism that was left in the door for a minute or two--no luck. I call my Dad, because I don't want to bug the fabulous husband I just bugged three minutes earlier. He tried to coach me through it, then took a knob off at his house to coach me through it--no luck. I am in TEARS. Addie is giving me kisses and pats and just plain staring at her pitiful mommy. Jason Asher is trying to comfort me and pushes some tp through the hole to wipe my tears with. And I'm just freaking out that my son is going to be locked in the bathroom for hours, and that we are going to have to cut out a huge hole in the door to rescue him through. I give in and call Jason. He says he will be home soon. We hang up and one minute later inspiration strikes--take the door knob off the other bathroom and use it to open the door. That's what I do--and it works! My compassionate son is free in a matter of 10-15 minutes. I call Jason--no answer. I call again--answer. I tell him--he's already half way home. He's annoyed and relieved at the same time. Poor hubby has to deal with a helpless and emotional wife.
Task number three: move our six huge food storage bins out of the dining room. I love having them, but I am sick of looking at them 24/7. I devise a plan to stash three in the pantry area of the laundry room. One in the coat closet. And one in my closet. And one, I don't know. I begin prepping the laundry room and push and heave one in there. Then I realize that three is not going to happen. Well...at least two will fit. So I go to clear out an area I hadn't planned on using. And...what's that in the corner of the laundry room under all our shelves that's been hidden from view ever since we moved in??? DRIED ANIMAL POOP. We have lived in this house for just over two years, and NEVER had an animal in here. Now, I am DISGUSTED with myself for not cleaning every inch of this house before we stashed paint cans, etc in there. And THINKING never, ever, ever will I buy a HUD home again!
Maybe pregnant woman in their last trimester should not attempt to accomplish anything :)

You are SO impressive. I was definitely not one to tackle any big or semi-big projects during any trimester.
I'm a little offended that I was not informed that you guys started a blog! :) I found you from Karalynn's. Sounds like you had quite the day! I hope you guys are doing well!
It sounds like you had a rough day! I am impressed though that you make your own yogurt... can you teach me? How are you feeling? We've only got 5 weeks left... I'm feeling just a bit overwhelmed...
Laura, I found your blog through KaraLynne's. It was so good to see your cute little family. Congrats on #3 making an appearance soon!
What a day! Atleast it is over. I can not believe you are gonna have 3 kids pretty soon. Crazy! But so much fun!
